USC's biggest obstacle this weekend was themselves. In fact, 90% of the challenge was themselves while the Bears made up the other 10%. I know Carroll is frustrated with the refs calling so many penalties on the Trojans, but a good chunk of it is really just from lack of discipline. When you play such an aggressive defense, it's hard to just turn off that switch after the whistle blows. Anyway, it was still a great victory against Cal. I'm still bitter about that overtime lost years ago, so I'm always happy to see them lose. But I will, like the rest of you should, cheer them on against the Beavers.
